Hey /lit/,

So depsite the low opinion that people seem to have of it, I actually decided to read The Da Vinci Code and you know what? It was actually pretty damn good, the plot was exciting, and even though it had a bit of a tinfoil hat thing running through it, it was still great nonetheless. Everyone who slates Dan Brown because they are too busy reading clever-dick Russian authors ought to get off their high horses and read a book which isn't a complete snooze-a-thon.

OP i also enjoyed thiss book, though i did read it a few years ago, although i thought it was slightly drawn out and ridiculous in parts it was still exciting.

Well, of course you like Dan Brown, plebeian.

At least I enjoyed reading it, have fun reading meandering go-nowhere bollocks like Finnegan's Wake.

I liked how every male character patronized Sophia constantly. Let me explain it to you in simple terms dear...

Try this. It's like The Da Vinci Code, only written by a non-hack

Da Vinci code I couldn't stand though I like Angels and Demons until at the end he went 'twist, but wait twist within a twist and a twist within that one'

I too thought this OP. However, I was given a box set of four Dan Brown books and read them all. This was a vital mistake. It's one thing to say that an authors books all seem the same but ALL OF HIS BOOKS ARE THE EXACT SAME THING WITH THE SAME CHARACTER WITH DIFFERENT NAMES!!! CAPSLOCK!

Read his other books, Dan Brown is shit-tier.

They're airport adventures.

Some are better than others (Angels & Demons + The Da Vinci Code, probably). The Lost Symbol was pretty bloody awful, though. You'd think a story about the Freemasons would be more interesting.

Anybody know any decent non-conspiracy Mason fiction?
