I've had a kindle for many years, its a good product, still works well.

>>11438568
Pretty much. I went back to physical because its easier to jump around between marked sections, find a section by the feel of where it was, and to have wall to wall shelves in my pathetic small apartment.

>was about to buy a stack of books
>instead bought a kindle
>kindle was less than the price of the books
>got all the books for free
>already paid for itself
it's also a much better user experience
>highlighting
>multiple bookmarks
>can estimate how long until you've read the book based on your reading speed
>little to no blue light
>can read it in pitch black rooms
>much more comfortable to hold

Can the Kobo do black backgrounds/white words? I have a Paperwhite and (unfortunately) it is, as far as I know, incapable of doing so

Kobo. You don't have to go through the trouble of converting epub to mobi. Also Kobo is cheaper than the Kindle everywhere else outside of America.

I'm amazed the kindle doesn't read epub. I guess Stallman was right once again.

I have both. Had a Kobo at first but it was a pain in the ass. The Kindle is better in every way possible.

Kobo just kept freezing so I had to reset it all the time. The software and touch screen was just slower too. Kindle hasn't given me any problems.

Depends on your needs. There are other readers beside kobo and kindle ones. Just do some google searches.

This, but kobo's better since muh open source + you can use whatever font, as opposed to what kindle is limited to.

I still use my kindle touch 4, best device I've ever had. Dented a bit around the edges from dropping from washing machine / table numerous times over the years, never had a hitch.
