I've told my younger siblings (who are about half my age) about some Greek myths. I've read them a few short stories by Poe. Other than that, not much.

Do you want your children to be logical thinkers or nihilistic morally relativistic normalfaggy pseuds who live only for pleasure, and not in search of wisdom and virtue?

Pop young adult shit of course.
You won't get them interested in any deep shit at this point so just get them into the habit of reading.

When my niece is visiting I read her Madeline. tbhwyfamily I have a hard time getting through the first story without tearing up a bit.

When I was a youngster my mom would read my brother and I something very much like left related. Baba yaga, cannibal witches, evil princes, child heroes and animal helpers, and so on.
