How do you get over the feeling of hating everything you write? Every time I try to write anything, mostly music, I feel like i hate it or that it sounds cliche. How did you get over that feeling if you've experienced it?

dude i have like ten days off i wish i wasnt too uptight to play video games this would be a perfect chance to go deep into some rpg, i work so little that i could probably get a super high gearscore on wow if i gave up self-respect, probably if i lived in a small methtown where there are no high achievers around to get all up in your face with their luxury condos and shit

I can't get over it. It makes writing diffucult and not fun at all as I have to fight through the feeling of it being total shit even though I know it is not all that bad (had some people read it). I hope that one day it will jsut fade away

if u want pseud cred instead of forcing yourself to do some crap thats tedious like writing, why dont u just do a physics degree or something, physics is fuckin dumb but normies will think your a genius without having to torture yourself

Accept that you're going to write a lot of shit before you write anything good, identify what's good and bad about each work, and move on to the next thing with a little more experience. Don't demand too much from yourself and have patience. If you're attached to something you can always rewrite it later when you're better.

Don't force yourself to write. Carry a little notepad everywhere you go; or if you're too self-conscious about looking like a hipster, just write shit on the notes app on your phone. I feel like some of the most beautiful things I've written were spontaneous. They don't have to be long entries. They will end naturally, much like ourselves. Some are a sentence. Some can go on for paragraphs. They write themselves.

Stephen king says that Writers notebooks are a graveyard for bad ideas. I don’t fully agree but it does hold some truth.

>> No.11396590

but that doesnt mean u shouldnt do it, it means that once u start to actually put an idea on paper u see its dumb, same shit happens with apps, every fag has some big app idea, but when u sit down and start to work on it even just mocking it up in photoshop ur like wait no thats dumb, which means ur brain can move on to percolating better ideas

"A graveyard for bad ideas" can be interpreted to mean that every writer should start with ideas in a notebook and let the bad ideas die there. The good ones expand outside of the notebook.
