Any you prefer, pretty much all of them are fucked and Kidd's corrected edition will never be finished because of Joyce's cuckold estate.

He wanted to understand what Bloom felt like being cuckolded, so he urged Nora to write him letters talking about getting fucked by other men/finding another man attractive etc. No joke, I’m surprised it’s not more of a meme here than the fart letters. Although it’s not exactly how that anon put it

Every edition is different or has problems, but the Gabler edition is what most scholars use.
There was a thread about this article just a few weeks ago about John Kidd who claimed that the Gabler text was full of issues if you're interested.

dont even think about picking up Ulysses until you've read:

> Mythology - Hamilton
> The Odyssey - Homer
> The Iliad - Homer
> Dubliners - Joyce
> Portrait of the Artist - Joyce

in that order

My understanding was that those errors were very much errors and the main reason everyone in universities uses Gabler is wide original print runs and line numbering. Not because it's in any way good

>Joyce's wildest sexual fantasies, which readers of Ulysses will recall from the text, were earnestly fulfilled by Nora, and their erotic letters, written during the few times in their lives that they were apart, are filled with the couple's rather eccentric sexual fantasies.

>Joyce, despite his incessant jealousy, also nearly pushed Nora into an affair to garner new material for him to write about. Nora refused to succumb and teased him about his wishes, addressing letters to him, "Dear Cuckold."

When you read a book, a sustance from the eyes provokes rotational density on the tint, which causes data and tint loss over time when you read it.
If the book isn't acid free, the acid with the rotational density will cause a slow burn in of the book.
