well the old man and the sea is a good book, however hemingway has a hit and miss record when it comes to writing. The sun also rises was boring as hell but a farewell to arms is good.
Hemingway's life however is probably the boomer magnet, as he was a player from day one. He left marriage after marriage and had affairs constantly. he was a reporter, writer, soldier (not really he lied but they still gave him medals so fuck it who cares), and a fisherman. He lived a very eventful life

Why is everything beautiful traduced and mocked? Why can't we appreciate the small moments of light and contemplation that make life worth living? Why must we be bound to forever meme, forever bore our tongue into our cheeks, forever scoff at everything that comes our way? Are we so broken that we cannot see the light even when it's right in front of our eyes? We see it perhaps but we still claw at it and spit at it. Because it's so far away. Close enough to see its glow but not enough to feel its warmth

i don't like that everyone takes pictures and uploads them to the internet but i do like him for his simple, terse review on a good book.

also hate this "boomers ruined everything" bullshit a lot of retards spew. it's capitalism that ruins everything the generations don't matter. he's probably getting fucked like the rest of us with shit that's out of his control. now, i understand being angry at the ones that are filled with stupid capitalist propaganda but at some point you have to pity them instead of being angry at them.

I think I've never seen so much love on 4chan than what's been displayed in this thread. I guess it's the power of a fat, bald man enjoying a cola and talking about a good book that made it possible. Thank you, based baldlit.

This thread reminds me of some guy lamenting that his mother wrote a story about two bunnies becoming friends and how he cried at its realness. This bald, smiling man must be cool.
