I'm not anti-book. I'm against excercises on style which have no substance, and which cannot be related to one's life. Fiction for the sake of fiction is fiction that has no value for me.
There is beauty in nature, and there can be beauty in words, but what is the point of seeking beauty in artificial constructs which are only seen as beautiful because of their uncommon vocabulary or arrangement of words, rather than what they describe?
