Doesn't the actual Aramaic word that was used to describe his profession translate to Stone Mason but the changed it to avoid association with the Free Masons? I know I heard that somewhere and never looked into it. It's probably bullshit, but does anybody on here speak Aramaic?

It translates into ketton in Greek which means builder, and the geography of Nazareth is barren with stone quarries and the archaeology is all stonework, Christ is the stumbling block, cornerstone the builders rejected, he said don't build a tower if your not willing to finish, the wise man builds his house upon the rock ect

a person has planted himself inside my mind in a place of god. in other words, you could say that he is my god.
he's basically one of the few people that converted me to christianity, but now in my mind i hear his voice in a place of God's, cause I probably wanna impress him with my belief.
what do?

Of course he was, and George W. Bush gave a perfectly satisfactory answer when, at prompting, he stated that Jesus was his favorite philosopher. Which blew the liberal media's minds at the time. Oh, how quaint by today's standards.

Like most things about Jesus there is no evidence one way or another.

It was common at the time for healers and magicians and such to have a secret doctrine and speak in parables and riddles and shit.

Being as he was a heretic(in the eyes of mainstream Judaism), an antiRoman agitator, was claimed to heal lepers (and therefore would have been thought of as contaminated with leprosy) and quite possibly a fugitive from the law who escaped from jails like Paul he had lots of reasons to speak in parables and riddles and hide away from people. Because else he'd be ostracized or stoned to death.

See for example from Mark 1:

>40 A leper[o] came to him begging him, and kneeling[p] he said to him, “If you choose, you can make me clean.” 41 Moved with pity,[q] Jesus[r] stretched out his hand and touched him, and said to him, “I do choose. Be made clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy[s] left him, and he was made clean. 43 After sternly warning him he sent him away at once, 44 saying to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” 45 But he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the word, so that Jesus[t] could no longer go into a town openly, but stayed out in the country; and people came to him from every quarter.

So it is quite likely that his secret doctrine is mostly not found in the gospels or Paul's letters and his secret doctrine would show once and for all whether his beliefs are logically based and reasoned out in a proper philosophical manner.

Not really a philosopher. More like a guru.

Philosophy is about premises and argumentation, not declarations of faith and the necessity of worship.

Jesus is GOD incarnate.

See:
>John 11:25-26 (KJV)
>25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
>26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

>John 10:9-11 (KJV)
>9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
>10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
>11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

>John 6:35 (KJV)
>35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

>John 8:12 (KJV)
>12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

>John 15:5 (KJV)
>5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

>John 14:6 (KJV)
>6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

>John 14:9 (KJV)
>8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
>9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

>John 8:58 (KJV)
>58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

>Exodus 3:14 (KJV)
>14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.

Jesus Christ was, is, and is to come. (Revelation 1:8)

Are you the guy I talked to about a year ago in a thread about women? OP was something along the lines of "how I do I attract a specific man? he's like you, /lit/"
We replied to each other for like a dozen or so posts; the only concrete thing I can remember was something to the effect of me stating that I like being bitten.
Anyways, good chance that you're not the guy I'm thinking of, but something about this post made me think of him, and this is like the 4th time I've made this kind of post. If you're out there anon I'm right here.
