Can someone recommend me some books that deal with nihilism, boredom, and the meaninglessness of life? I just read The Stranger and I'm looking for something similar. (not so much existentialism but outright characters in states of nihilism itself)

I hope you know what i mean

burroughs maybe?

Either "Haunted" or "Invisible Monsters"

I'd google Invisible Monsters first

Why is it that anytime someone says nihilism people always mention Chuck Palahniuk. People who mention Chuck don't understand what nihilism means.

Why do you say that his work has a nihilistic overtone to it, especially Fight Club.

I have been struggling with a problem for the past five hours or so.

The answer I have settled on appears to be compatible with mid-late Wittgenstein.

I'm going to finish the paper, and then go and drink rather a lot of gin. I will then cry.

Oh man. Beckett.
Mindfuck.

Also, "Journey to the End of the Night" by Celine.
Watch a man completely lose himself.
