We're against women here, kid.
We believe that they're better off in the home, subservient to her husband, and rearing white children.
Give women the vote, and you get a world like the one you see today: one in which I am unhappy

One of the best writers of the later 20th century.
Very soothing style. Writing about hulking war machines seems to pass in a haze.

I read Lavinia most recently. Very pleasant.

The world was like this before the vote. Your diagnosis is faulty

"The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" is a must-read short story from her - it's pure /lit/.

I remember reading the first book of the earthsea trilogy when I was a kid (which I can't remember particularly liking or disliking, even though it evoked some strong emotions back in the day) but I somehow never managed to finish the whole series. does it get better or worth? do you guys think I should resume?

She has some really good interviews. Definitely one of the better more literary sci-fi writers ever. Check out her Bookwork interview fo sho and then she has a collection of her interviews out now.

The only thing I read by her was the short story collection "Changing Planes" which I found very interesting an creative, but also a little heavy-handed at times. I didn't like the stories where she would basically just describe a sci-fi situation which was just a silly, smug, exaggeration of a real-life thing in America. But only two of the stories were really that bad, and the rest were quite fun.

This kind of 'parody', if you can call it that, hasn't been funny since 2008. Maybe you should go to /b/ or some other normie board?

Worth

Haven't read them, but they're worth a second look I'd think.

Lathe of Heaven had some great moments. 7/10 overall. I also hold She Unnames Them very close to my heart
Haven't read anything else from her
