Do you think trump will ingratiate himself with the literary world like Obama did?

Say what you want, Obama was a literary and literate person.

With a tiny bit luck Trump will ingratiate himself with a prison cell.

Why? If the contribution is worthy, who gives a damn about the source?

maybe he'll die soon. he's old and not very healthy...... by all indicators he's senile too. I wonder if he sleeps alone because he pisses the bed. lol

arts are not profitable. there is no private sector for the arts. the internet has actually made it easier for some artists to emancipate from the state. otherwise, the only options were to try to break into the mainstream (which usually meant compromising their artistic integrity) or appeasing to the state (and risking being co opted by said state).
trump doesn't really care about the arts but he would definitely try to use them for legitimization or to push a narrative a la "nfl protesters are protesting against veterans/the flag/the anthem".

He wasn't quite Macron but Obama was obviously a literate guy.

Trump is basically a state of mind rather than a person. He's more likely to inspire literature than honor it.
