Who are some thinkers (not too difficult) that have good opinions I could co-opt for intimidating the normies around me? I was thinking Harold Bloom.

Harold Bloom relies on the fact that his reader has a somewhat intuitive understand of what he's talking about. If your normies are impressed by namedrops, go for it.
Otherwise I would suggest Barthes

Interesting. Why is Barthes good for that? I know nothing about him.

Has this nigga ever written or spoken thoroughly about his reading history? I've heard him say that he read Hart Crane at age nine. It'd be cool to know at what age he started reading and what his first books were.

Charles Murray and David Hume.

Just carry a gun get familiar enough with Nietzsche to rant about him. They’ll fucking listen.
