Liquor alcholics tend to drink three or four shots, the buzz hits, they get to do something else. Fermented alcholics have to constantly keep drinking to keep their buzz on, so they're always cunts on their sofa watching afternoon tv. You can't walk around with a canteen of wine, for example, you need a whole bottle.

This is true for the most part I would say.
I would also say that in addition, the 'type of drunk you get' is slightly different. Whiskey makes you a little crazier than wine. Different naturally occurring phenols, etc. might have an effect on mood/memory/energy, etc.

I drink mostly rum an vodka, beer barely even makes me drunk, just very tired and stuffed, but wine is always a fucking wild ride. Like, I'm much more in control of my faculties if I smoke acid or bump coke / speed than if I drink two bottles of wine. I don't even drink it if I'm not sleeping at home because a third of my wine binges end up with me literally pissing the bed in drunken stupor. People who drink port are the true nihilists, it's just wine but even stronger.
