Hey /lit/ I need your help. I've got a paper due tomorrow on "A Modest Proposal".

Any scholars out there that can give me a good argument in the text to base my counter argument on?

Basically. I have to find some points he brings up in the text and argue against it. And it's kinda hard picking just a few.

Thesis: Saying that basically rationalize the children, keeping one fifth as breeders and use the rest for food and apparel.

Rhetorics: Got the most of it from wikipedia under rhetorics nad adding that he fails in reaching the general population due to his educated language thus excluding the audience he actually wants to reach out to.
