Dawkins is just another science-fag who's not willing to accept that Science is as much a religion or belief system as Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism or any other.

He takes science as fact and pushes it as much as his apparent opposing religious man and woman.

Just not a fan really...

Do you have access to any scientific databases?
Sometimes it's best to skip the middleman, go to a database and chuck in some keywords, because a lot of studies have been published, much less done, on this topic.
If you don't you could still hit up Google Scholar.

Sam Harris - The End of Faith discusses spirituality quite seriously. Apparantly he got some aggro from atheists thinking he was defending pseudo-science when he was actually just addressing spiritual experience and meditation etc. The rest of the book is about religion more broadly and the effects on the brain that religious thinking has.
