I hate this guy and those he has influenced. His whole shtick is claiming he has circumvented morality and arguing that he has given an entirely descriptive philosophy. HE IS A MORAL THEORIST. He's like those dumbass Utilitarians who don't think Utilitarianism is a moral theory because its naturalistic.

adherence to self-interest makes his philosophy normative yet he claims it is entirely descriptive
there is nothing necessary about the conceptual scheme of the human mind which means no single nature gives rise to human experience
nominalism got btfo by the german idealism tradition

>It sounds like a very impractical way to live.
Quite the contrary senpai. What he preach is basically not letting you being hurt or held hostage by ideas, and that's psychologically wonderful. Stirner doesn't think you have to kill all your spooks, you have to hold them and your propriety, in a way you can live without the moment they stop being useful to you.
The egoist is not an uebermensch, he doesn't have to transvaluate everyone of his values just because the author said so.

"greatest thinker" is a spook because it implies a need for others within an accepted framework to have a consensus on who can identify as "great"

>> No.11203629

>>11203484
no it does not imply that. it is a subjective measurement.

>what do you think is the greatest painting of all time?
>hurr durr ur actually implying post-aioli that a pre-accepted framework of greatness exists and that consensus around who can identify as "great" can exist as well.
>just say mona lisa and move on, u autistic retard.

You really don't get it. There's a huge difference between doing someone because it's 'moral' and doing something because it satisfies the ego.
