I've only read one single book by Roth. Why do you like Dostoievski? I find him extremely moralistic, his prose is very conrived, his "internal landscape" is praised probably because he was one of the first lads to get SERIOUSLY into psychological novels, his prose is pulp tier, full of contrived sentences and extremely claustrophobic and heavy handed prose.
Why do you like him?

Prolific enough for there to be ten books out there by them worth reading, even if you have to dig into letters and diaries for 3 of them. And, Borges was prolific as fuck. You just have to delve into his non-fiction and poetry.

Either way, like I said, prolific enough to have 10 books and thus show up in my top 100 on Goodreads, so that I could scan through it and pick them when writing the post. (I have authors on that list who I have read more by like Simenon, but he wasn't good enough for the list that I made.)

American Pastoral. Portnoy's Complaint and The Breast are outliers. A lot of his books do discuss sex to be fair, but mainly from a point of impotence or sexual shortcoming. The "pervert" stuff is just /pol/ rabblerousing.

Everything they can write about is the paranoias, delusions and perversions of the Jewish community in the United States. None of those celebrated Jewish writers, be it Philip Roth or Saul Bellow could rise above it.
