WRITERS OF /LIT/!!!

What book(s) is(/are) the biggest formative influence(s) on what you are currently writing?

Probably some combination of The Culture series by Ian. M. Banks and the Sprawl trilogy by Gibson desu. What reasonably should be an influence is the CCRU book but I didn't read it until after I'd already had all the ideas that are going into my current book.

Clannad desu
I've read hundreds upon hundreds of novels, poetry, short stories, plays, and I've never been more emotionally attached to a work of fiction than Clannad.
My goal is to surpass Clannad as the greatest tearjerker of all time.

Interested in hearing more about your work anon.

Terra Ignota, BOTNS, and Anathem. I'm writing a story about a cyclical universe with a planet similar to Earth.

It's just a diary of schizo gibberish with about 50+ pages of speculative future fiction based on the schizo gibberish. I could post excerpts I suppose if you care.

It'd probably be interesting to read. I unironically want to read your diary, desu.
