Alright, I'll admit. I've never read Othello.
Why is he an angel?

That said, Manga Shakespeare is great, because I like how it takes Shakespeare and puts it in a completely different setting but keeps the text the same.

But there's also the fact that this is one of my favorite movies, and I wish more things updated old plays into modern times with the same dialogue.

It really is very good. Great set, great costume (great costume gags!). Manages to capture the humour AND the pathos of the play, which few productions quite manage in my experience. Also nice to see Patrick Steward not playing Patrick Stewart (if you see what I mean).
