1) Learn Latin to understand philosophy or texts more intuitively
2) Learn Ancient Greek to understand classics better
3) Learn neither and just use my time learning the philosophy/literature itself

Which one, /lit/?

3. I doubt that learning the languages would help that much. For a deep understanding of the details of a language, you have to study it for a long time.

Unless you want to become a professional philosopher, 3 is the way to go.

Depends on how old you are. If you can take it as a class do it. If you are Gina use the language for some new take on something then do it. If you are gonna be reading it for fun so to speak don't bother.
