I don't think you get what that quote means. He's talking about the bias of communications and this is no way significant to the discussion at hand. A truth from a book can be represented in other mediums, however both the creator and the consumer are likely to view such meaning through those biases of the medium. Language here is no different than in a book, but how it's engaged with is the difference. Being not a technological determinist myself, I find no need to denigrate this medium and every need to denigrate the user. Thus: Back to Greeks!

Most “Chads” in high school and college don’t take care of themselves in their late 20s/early 30s and end up fat or burned out. Most high school and college roasties end up dumping Chad to shack up with someone that is more stable and smart. damn, didn't think it would be that profound, but I'm actually pretty shocked how the same image with one character changed produces radically different social signals.

Reinforces my idea that amphetamine is healthier most people think since anything that forces you to believe you are correct and removes self doubt is good for social standing.
