I'm a sick and tired of people using the word "meaning" in a metaphorical, non-semantical sense. Why the fuck do you say nonsensical shit like "the meaning of life" when what you ACTUALLY want to say is "the importance of human life"? "life" = experience, awareness, reality, processes, etc.

Yes, yes they do. No one ever stops a single second to even consider what they mean by the expression "the meaning of life", and they just use it like it's the most clear concept in the world and it drives me fucking crazy. First of all, what is this "meaning" in "the meaning of life" means? Because it's pretty fucking clear that is NOT linguistic meaning. Second, what does "life" mean? ALL life, including the lives of worms and unicelular organisms? Human life? What human life? The individual human life of Joe Doe, or human life understood as the human species?
