Thoughts on this book, /lit/?

Haven't read it. Calling yourself "The Invisible Committee" like kids playing at being spies kinda kills my boner, too.

Yeah, I suppose it is a little cliche. Maybe it comes across better in its native French.

It's a book about friendships and communes and all sorts of cuddly feel-goody kinda shit. Its essentially a motivational book for confused anarcho-oids.

Don't waste your time reading it, unless you want to be reminded of just how wretched the political imagination is today. Skip TCI and just read Marx's Communist Manifesto.

btw, Glenn Beck reviewed this book on his show -- and I hate to say it -- but everything he says about it is true, besides the part about it being a 'dangerous' book.

I thought it was pretty good.

Too bad the Totalitarian Capitalists have already won and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Interesting book, but more of a pick-me-up for localized French socialists instead of a solidly written theoretical treatise. Ultimately worth the read though, if you're even remotely interested.

I've been reading it lately. I'd say the criticisms are fair, and I think the comparison to the Manifesto is apt. Like the Manifesto, I find myself wholeheartedly agreeing with some things, and finding others silly.
