I sympathise completely with all the "Cliff's a wanker" comments, he is pretentious and a bit of a bellend, sure, but >>11087434 is correct to say that ultimately he means well and his taste is pretty good (although his audience are responsible for requesting a lot of what he reads - Cliff gets good recs from his audience, so credit to them, but he built a platform to attract them, too). As for video quality, it varies, sure, but it's definitely better than a passive-aggressive, pastel-coloured YA book review conducted by someone ready to write to your employer about a problematic tweet you wrote five years ago.
