Same happens to me but I don't even write. They tried to give me anti-psychotics to sleep but they dumb me down too much.
Zopiclone works fine with me but make my mouth bitter and gives me hallucinations which sometimes distract me from trying to fall asleep.

For some reason I doubt this. In fact I don't think you have an editor, nor do I think anyone publish your writing. And, anyway, publishers hate purple prose even more than the average /lit/ user. Their unwillingness to publish any writing that isn't simple and accessible is one reason why we don't see good books anymore (excluding those from long-celebrated authors, who are able to get away with a lot more).
