I did it only once before in my life while walking home from the subway. It actually worked quite well and I was able to focus. I should really try doing that again sometime.

It's probably better to do in the suburbs or in a park or whatever instead of in the city where there are a bunch of distractions.

If it's a small enough book and a small enough walk, yeah. I have a slim collection of essays by Badiou that I mostly read walking to places.
It isn't something I do regularly though; it is mainly only when it's colder and if I can fit the book into my coat pockets or in my sweatshirt.
