is F&T a good starting point?

Some would say so, some would argue otherwise. I think you can jump in wherever you feel is most appropriate for you, just understand that kierkegaard never pins himself down with his pseudonymous works. Sadler actually mentions The Present Age as a good starting point, and I could see it being so.

Yeah it is under a hundred pages, he talks about 'leveling' in it and it gives you some idea of his thinking with the public vs dat individual.

Sounds good, do you recommend reading anyone else before Kierkegaard?

>> No.11073897

>>11073886
No, and I myself need to play catch-up on a lot of Kierkegaard. Only thing I have obtained related to understanding Kierkegaard better is some Plato.

Cool. I'm reading The Republic right now actually and it amazes me how clear Plato's concepts are, despite their complexity.

Thanks for the help bro

I've not actually read Kierkegaard yet, but you could read some Augustine and some Aquinas to see other christian philosophy.

Why did you put your dirty boot in the centre of the frame? What was the point of that?

It was a pick from a while back everyone was posting their shoes with their stack, I was working nightshift burning brushfires
