a lot of philosophy and psychology go hand in hand i feel.
Ive only just really started reading, right now a lot of philosophy, but plan to get into psychology eventually. but i feel like one should have a good foundation in philosophy in order to better understand psychology

Reminder that Nietzsche, Heidegger, Deleuze and most late 19th / 20th century philosophers worth reading railed firmly against psychologization and psychology.

Nietzshe considered himself a "great psychologist" and his will to power is just cognitive-behavioural theory + perspectivism and Deleuze is basically cognitive-behavioural theory + perspectivism used as metaphysics (that is to say, projected onto Being or however you want to formulate it), basically the speculative stuff in Nietzsche exaggerated even further. Prove me wrong. Oh, and Heidegger is just Nietzsche's perspectivism from a phenomenological angle.

The only reason they went against psychology is on etymological grounds, psychology understood as reduced to a logic of the psyche that's self-contained.
