Summer approaching and maybe I'll give reading a shot at the beach or something to pass the time.
What are some good and fun books that aren't limited by the fact that they are books?
What I mean is since there is no sound and image I'd rather watch say lord of the rings than read it.
Things like fighting or exploring or whatever is best seen not read at least for me because even though the author can use a shit ton of adjectives to describe something my vocabulary isn't that good and neither is my imagination to paint the picture.

Oh my Anon, you’re not going to get any nice answers. If you’re not serious go to >>>/co there are some great comic books you can read that cut out those icky words.

I don't think you'll get recommendations with 'suitable vocabulary' on here, but:

>Arno Schmidt's Collected Early Fiction 1949-64 if you want a German madman talking to himself about all sorts of shit from classical era history to ww2 life.
>Anything Samuel Beckett since it's all mostly inner thought and minimal setting.
>Joseph McElroy's Plus or Ancient History. The former being about a brain in space re-learning language and thought, the latter a man talks about memories of a dead guy whilst hidden in his old apartment.
>Christine Brooke-Rose's Xorandor. Two kids retell the story about the time they met some nuclear consuming super computer alien rock that ends up with one of it's offspring getting drunk on radioactive waste, thinking it's Lady Macbeth and threatening the UK with detonation.

There's probably better examples but I don't know what you're going to find on this board. Just pick a book that interests you in concept.
