I think this is basically everyone's opinion on him. He is a good composer, capable of crafting both likable and substantial work, and other composers including Bach himself clearly had real respect and admiration for him.

But at the same time, who but Sunday school teachers would consider him their favorite and how many people have reason to bothered listening to most of his concertos?
