I'm going to read the Iliad. My only experience with ancient literature is with Plato and Aristotle. Should I pick up the Fagles or Lattimore translation?

Pope's translation is so fucking shitty. Those forced, one-syllable rhymes have the effect of nursery rhymes. No punchline, no artistry, no point at all but to show reasonable people how lame rhyming for the sake of rhyming is. You guys' taste in poetry is rock bottom.
