It's a crime that Tennessee Williams isn't discussed on /lit/ very often. He's a much better homosexual writer than Oscar Wilde (better at homosexuality and better at writing). Anyone else feel like he is a great writer? What is your favorite work by him? I'm going with “Desire and the Black Masseur,”

man, are you trolling or did i really fail at communicating what i was asking for? (what are some good works by Tennessee williams?)

The Glass Menagerie was kind of interesting, I guess. I don't really like Wilde or Williams.

>better at homosexuality

Better at addressing homosexuality? Otherwise I can't tell what you're referring to (a "literary genre"?). What do you think of Capote?

Seconded. Capote is the best gay writer in English. His screenplays kick shit in as well.

Williams and Wilde are good, but Wilde was more witty than good at writing. Williams is brilliant, but I still prefer Capote.

Is that Lars Ulrich?

HE'S BETTER AT FUCKING GUYS IN THE ASS THAN WILDE WAS!

No i was just kind of joking. Didn't I hear that Wilde was only into frotterism or something? Then again, didn't wilde go to prison for being a homosexual? At any rate, I was joking. I haven't read anything by Capote. Is it worth a look?

Yes. In Cold Bold, Breakfast at Tiffany's, his journalism; it's all brilliant.

Are you the retard that comes to bookstores and asks for books by saying "its the one about the moths" or other such dumbassery. I don't work at a bookstore, but I have heard this type of shit at bookstores all the fucking time. Google that shit son.

Oh please. The Glorious Bird did cannibalism and sodomy better in "Suddenly, Last Summer". If I had to pick a favorite short story of his I'd go with "Desire and the Black Masseur," but frankly I don't care much for his short stories. Or at least I prefer the ones that turned into slightly undramatic / vignettey plays, like "Vieux Carré"
