What is some manly poetry for manly men like myself?

Not effeminate shy stoic poetry but manly poetry with manly passions and manly emotion.

The meme Pepe Conan picture is slightly ironic. The imagery of Conan has kind of been flanderized into a bit of a meathead and parody. But manly muscles is not opposed to manly intelligence and manly philosophy and manly poetry.

As an example, of some poetry I found kind of manly myself:

Dulce et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs,
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots,
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of gas-shells dropping softly behind.

Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime.—
Dim through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams, you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,—
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.

I also enjoy William Blake's poetry but he was specifically going for the opposite of manly in his Songs of Innocence and some of his other work.

Do you have any particular favorite works of theirs?

As well, Gottfried Benn was a German poet wasn't he? So I'd either have to learn German or find a good translation. What translations are best?

Ramayana

Early in a demoness gets her fucking shit pushed in (nose and ears cut off to teach her humility) and lots of cool shit happens. The manliest poetry is Vedic.

MANLY POEMS FOR MANLY MEN
------------------------------------------------

A few examples off the top of my head:

>The Mary Gloster (Kipling)
Dramatic monologue. Man on his deathbed is disappointed in his soyboy son; tells him to get his act together.

>Jaguar (Ted Hughes)
If you learn this poem by heart we cannot be enemies, even if you just stole my car and used it to run over my rosebushes.

>Lines For A Book (Thom Gunn)
Thom Gunn explains how pencil-necked nerds need to be smacked.

>Hurt Hawk (Robinson Jeffers)
Jeffers' oeuvre is pretty manly throughout. This is his most famous, I guess.

>The Return (Ezra Pound)
Manly-but-thoughtful. Man people have argued about what this means. I think it's clear - it's the traumatised soldiers returning from World War I.

>How To Kill (Keith Douglas)
Shooting people is pretty easy really.

>Ulysses (Tennyson)
Leaving The Little Woman Behind And Setting Off With Your Mates. Also just happens to be the best short blank-verse epic-style poem in the language.

I am basically slowly wasting away to sickness and dying of depression. My only alternative being to take depression medication that turns me into an emotional zombie. Even if I survive a few more years I will probably kill myself when I reach the age of thirty anyway. For that reason I have no time or energy to waste learning French or German.

Just write your own.

Long Dick Style.
She wanted it,
Deep inside,
Begged for it,
Her puspus cried,
Id give it to her,
For a good long while,
Oh shes gettin that,
Long dick style.

Hammer in the back.
The beasts they roared,
The arrows flew,
I ran through crowds,
With energy anew,
Men got cut,
And men they cried,
I swung and swung,
And men they died,
Battlefield red,
Blood all around,
I rally the troops,
Operation ground and pound,
Stamp their bones,
Cut and hack,
Knock them down,
Hammer to the back,
See their fear,
Look deep in eyes,
Raise your hammer men,
And swing their demise.

Layeth The Smackdown.
Do you smell what im cooking?
Can you dig it, sucka?
You'll die from a dropkick,
You candy ass fucka.
I'll chokeslam a bitch,
German suplex a hoe,
And thats true as fuck,
Because Stone Cold said so.

See? I wrote those gems in like 2 minutes.

The poetry version of Beren and Luthien by JRR Tolkien is full of manly feels, but sadly is unfinished. You can still read it though.
