I am going to read a book by Stephen King. Which one should I pick?

They're all of similar quality, so just pick the one that interests you the most.

A Tommy Knocker is a mythical creature. Either a leprechaun type thing or the ghost of a miner killed in a mine

Start with Misery or Pet Sematary. The Stand is alright but overlong and the ending really shits the bed.

I read IT last year, and by the end of it I was just annoyed by how much time I spent reading that shit. It's a pretty simple story with atleast 500 pages of filler.

I would probably go for The Black Cat

I was reading chronologically and stopped when I rounded out the 70s. Never got around to reading the pdf of Rage.

The Stand is the only King book I have read all the way through, and it was pretty alright.

Definitely read an original edition, though. The extended edit added some likely unimportant stuff and shifted the date up from the 70s to the 90s, which makes a huge chunk of the contemporary issues void, such as funk and casual racism, also exclusively 70s tech in the 90s seems a bit odd.
Nobody would sing "baby can you dig your man" in the 90s

read cujo, thought it was a pretty neat story.

if you're gonna read stephen king books do it with the mindset that they have really imaginative, new, refreshing story lines.

dont read it looking for nice descriptions and a cool sorta writing style, just go with da flow and enjoy the cool story. :)

IT and 11/22/63 were the only King books that I really enjoyed. Not great literature but fun reads. IT is probably a better book, but the ending is meh. 11/22/63 was entertaining throughout.

I finished up reading The Gunslinger last week and I've no idea where the fuss comes from?
I picked it up because I hadn't read a book in some time so I wanted something easy to ease myself back into reading. It was certainly an easy and somewhat entertaining read, but I found it quite slow and with very little world building.
Is it true that The Dark Tower series improves after the first book?
