A mediocre book with decent criticisms relating to organized religion. It's pretty dated.

Boring book with little depth. I had to read it last semester, but I read chapter summaries and skimmed instead.

Characters range from decent to dull. Plot remains boring for the most part. Commentary is dated and remains to be proven less and less relevant as organized religion slowly dies in America at least. I guess we could rubberband around and go from the ultra libtard back to racist, sexist, homophobic culture, but honestly that kind of shit is seemingly dying. I would be pissed if the extreme response to SJWs brought about a new age of religious extremism because fuck that. Anywho, why the fuck would the response to a birth crisis be to go back in technology? If anything this book should have been about huge, technological sex factories. I guess the new government was just taking advantage of the timing of the birthing scare to take power, but ehhhhhh. It just seems like fighting against the far right is already obvious and everybody already gets that yeah racism and sexism are wrong. I want more dystopia against the far left that is more relevant for today. The epilogue was fun though if I remember correctly.

Well of course you're not going to find much depth reading like that. Although I agree with you on this one.
