What's the best romance novel? I've only ever read one which was Maurice.

>> No.1098894

There is no best romance novel, because there are no good ones (much like how there are no good fantasy or science fiction novels)

>> No.1098898

Norwegian Wood

Well, very few of the novels I've read are of the romance variety, but I've read several romantic novels. My favorite of the latter variety is probably Les Miserables, or maybe Moby Dick.

"romance" isn't just Mills & Boon.

>> No.1098938

>>1098923
Moby-Dick is gay romance though

Everything Illuminated looks good, although still /r/ suggestions.

ps, i love you

>> No.1099031

Are you talking about Romance as in Romanticism like Hoffmann and Novalis or about Romance as in Meyer and Brontè?
