Read Siddartha a couple years ago, really liked it. Looking to get into him some more. What’s next?

I would dare to say that Steppenwolf is way way better than OP's one. But whatever.

'I would dare to say' doesn't really make sense.

You should have just wrote 'I dare say.'

his best

Steppenwolf is good, sidarta is meh and damian i couldn't get past the first few pages even though the book is short

Steppenwolf is really good but can be a little confusing at some points but not reproachfully so. Can be quite funny at times too.

Narcissus and Goldmund was a very pleasant read. Demian is good, quite short though. Demian felt a lot like a condensed Narcissus and Goldmund with a different setting. Of the two I prefered Narcissus and Goldmund but if you like one you'll probably like the other..

Every one of his books is worth reading.

The ones I've read so far are:
>Underneath the wheel.
>Rosshalde.
>Knulp.
>Demian.
>Siddharta.
>Steppenwolf.

Currently reading Narcissus and Goldmund, and I'm liking it.

I would recommend reading Steppenwolf once you have read his previous works since it isn't easy to figure what Hesse is trying to say in Steppenwolf.

Steppenwolf is my favourite, though it's widely misunderstood.

Everyone raves about The Glass Bead Game, but I found it pretty dry and uninvolving. The short stories at the end were more interesting than the main body of the text.

Doesn't make sense.
You should have written, "You should have written . . . "

It was a painful read...but once you got to The Legend it was all worth it. Hesse was putting me to sleep slowly building the foundation but then he suddenly launched into the sublime in that last chapter.
And then the stories and poems, knowing they were written by Knecht in his younger days...genius organization by Hesse.
