The Stellar Diaries of Ijon Tichy by Lem would have to be my favourite SF work

also his Solaris, Bradbury's Martian Chronicles, the Roadside Picnic by the Strugacki Brothers, We by Zamjatin, Dune, Cities in Flight by James Blish and the Voyage of the Space Beagle by Van Vogt cause it contains "Black Destroyer".

i bought a box of close to 200 classic scifi books a couple of years ago, but still haven't read a single book....i can't wait to though..i expect a lot to be shit, but surely a few will be entertaining reads. a lot of them are fuckin' short from the looks of it though, prolly because kids were the targeted audience and shit.
