Borderline personality is part of the same cluster as narcisistic personality. Borderline personalities tend to hold feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt and of "being an imposter" behind a façade of grandeur.

Narcisist make for better pseuds, since they like to surround themselves with sycophants and only engage with people they believe are special like themselves. Borderlines have a more generalized need for approval, and they are plagued by the possibiity of not being special. Interestingly, borderline abusers can be emotionally dependent on their victims.
