How are you with Math ?
I can get good results with every subject that involves reading but half a hour of math gives me headaches and clinical depression.

Math is basically applied metaphysics.

try to make maths seems more meaningful to you.

try to watch documentary on Andrew Wiles' Fermat Last Theorem, try to watch more documentary on mathematics to make you more interested in the subject.

mathematics, especially pure math, is like logic with applied number system governed by a set of rules,

and governed by these rules, rose a 'mathematical properties', means anything that you are learning today.

I'm pretty good, but my parents are both super smart so I have good genetics. It's not really your fault, OP. Not everyone can be smart.

Algebra is as far as you need to go. There are a great many calculus equations in physics and chemistry, but you never use them. Funny story, math can be divided into two fields. Pure mathematics and applied mathematics. They don't get along. Ever seen a guy headbut someone over an equation? Whatcha doin next tuesday? I'll bring the beer. We won't be headbutting anyone. We'll just watch.

It's my major rn,

you gotta learn to love math; that usually starts with calculus

lol wut

By this logic, study of prime numbers and cryptography don't get along?
I guess you mean they don't get along in the sense that pure math has more freedom?

If by algebra you mean linear algebra, then you are correct.

I mean the men that subscribe to such concepts don't tend to get along. One likes math for the sake of math and takes pleasure in it. The other only cares for math that he can use to build things with. So which is it anon? You sound like a pure math type of anon. Remember that time we beat the shit out of each other in the elevator?

I have only been wrong once in my life. That was when I thought I was wrong, but I was right. And yes linear algebra totally kicks ass. I don't disregard basic geometry, but how much can I do with triangles right.

I see this happen a lot. People find a love for mathematics after calculus.
I wish I could experience what they have...
I wonder if I just had shit professors, but calculus felt like memorizing a bunch of arbitrary rules. I don't know how they work together or what their purpose is.

I was reading a Wikipedia article where it described a derivative as a rate of change and it blew my mind.
I had never been told that's what it was, and suddenly so much made sense to me.
