while there might be some good writers among this board, I hate every single one of you wannabe depressed intellectuals who think that it's somehow unfair that john green gets published while your dreary self-hating symbolic stupid stories don't. gee, it's almost like most people don't want to read amateur stories about how humanity is a failure, their life is a failure, or that the world failed. stories that attempt to be grand but in reality they fall very short of anything but. it's very embarrassing

i've read it. i kind of like it, it gets right to the goddamn point. it gets a bit motivational but for the most part lays down some solid rules for not wasting people's time.

i also read "the war of art" and that book is absolutely more fruity and vaguely self-helpy.
