Hi /lit/

So about 90% of traditional fantasy authors all look like eerily identical, fat little dwarves IRL. Are there any other genres that seem to have a stereotype that the authors conform to? Post examples of authors who do/don't fit the stereotypical appearance for their genre.

From his appearance, Mike Carey should be a grim ex-copper who writes gritty, hardboiled crime fiction. Instead, he writes urban fantasy, a genre that consists of about 75% pretty female authors with long shiny hair, though his books do read quite like crime fiction in many ways.
