I was about to buy a translation by George Madison Priest, but it turns out there are more recent translations. Additionally, I can't find anything on Priest's translation. Please give me a quick rundown? Should I avoid Priest's translation?

Thanks.
But is there anything wrong with the Priest translation?

I haven't read it, but I recommend Luke as a german speaker. It seems good to me.

Seriously, German is a difficult language and isn't as easily translated as French might be to English.

So has nobody read the Priest translation?
I guess I'll have to settle for the Luke translation, but I'm pretty annoyed because the Franklin Library leatherbound edition of Faust looks fantastic.

I recommend avoiding those leatherbound editions, they're made to show off.

Having multiple translations to choose is a burgeois luxury.
