If one is reading a translation of a philosophical text, then the prose shouldn't be important, as the ideas are the primary focus. Why don't people just do pseudo translations that convey the ideas as clearly as possible.

This board, I noticed, has a very specific "literary theory" that started off as a half-joke, but now all the newfags take it super seriously. That results in mind-bogglingly stupid threads like this one, because they mechanically apply those jokes to something as complex as literature.
