Skinner was a smelly behaviorist and that current is pretty much dead because it is reductionist.
Cognitive science is the way to go. It's backed by neuroscience to some degree, it's models are coherent and it's free from all the bullshit that most other currents suffer from (I'm looking at you psychoanalysis)

cog/behavioral was the hot shit up until now

I'm leaning more toward neuropsych as the next dominant paradigm
