my girlfriend gave me her copy of The Story of Psychology and her godawful Humanities handwriting is all over it. Some of her notes are just lists of words she found interesting and quotes/references she obviously heard in a lecture that she wanted to google later. a few of the pages have literally 2/3rds of the page underlined. i unironically like her a little less now. thankfully, it turned out to be a shit-tier book so I'll never have to look at it again.

I like to summarize certain paragraphs with a few words so that later when I come back to that chapter and that specific paragraph, I can read over it quickly it feels like I'm pulling out a drawer of files in my head. I only do this with course books because a lot is on the line, and often they are written like ass

Bought this book months before ever opening it up, then turned to the title page and saw this. Thought it might have been printed on it, and thought it was a little on the nose for someone like Kavan. But no, this copy I bought used is just full of stupid fucking notes. And they're dense too, there are like 10+ on each page. Of course they end 1/3ed of the way through it tho lol
