Sometimes one just wants to relax and enjoy a pleasant read.

Here's a list of some books I found comfy:

Siddhartha - Hesse
Northanger Abbey - Austen (not the easiest read but comfy nonetheless)
Goodbye Mr. Chips - Hilton
La Symphonie Pastorale - Gide (probably comfiest on the list, check it out!)
Soldiers' Pay - Faulkner

I always know what I'm getting, and the small variations are interesting for me having read so much so his work. Maybe read Hard Boiled Wonderland if you haven't, quite different from his other work, but still has that Murakami tone that's very comfy for me.

This book puts a big stupid smile on my face from beginning to end. Only takes an afternoon to read.

Wind in the Willows was cozy
Sometimes the characters would just be really mean to each other for no reason though, they went right back to being best friends afterwards so I assume that's just "banter"

I started Don Quixote recently and I've found it fairly comfy so far. Hoping that it keeps this tone throughout
