and isn't it fortunate that only Catholics can read Catholic texts, so that the Catholic Church can hold total authority over how to interpret the texts and ideas that have passed down through the centuries? Life is so much easier with someone else to do all the heavy thinking for you, and as we all know, either you sign away your entire system of belief to the control of the Canon, or else you're not allowed to rely on spiritual authority for anything and you must go through life completely illiterate like the Protestants.
