What does /lit think of this dude? Is he the continuation of the selfish gene of Dawkins ands the re-affirmation that conflict in society, and malevolence, in certain aspectsforge progress against institutions softening us up and progress virtually eliminating effort from our lives? Or is he just yelling through open doors of the history of philosophy?

Dawkins is a good scientist who tricked himself into a fallacy of a single cause.

Peterson is the later, he is a hack like new atheism Dawkins. He just likes to discuss what he thinks about Jung and frued or whoever and tries to apply it to contemporary society.
He is all about heuristic, so of course every once in a while he stumbles on to something, but his explanation is outright silly. He doesn't understand what hierarchy is I'm the sense of organization of complex systems and probably doesn't think about systems at all. He is completely wrong about hiearchy.
He is basically trying to explain the disintegration of society with baseless hueristics to justify reactionary attitudes.
He is the liberal acedemic equivalent of a BuzzFeed quiz. The people he is so critical of, po mos and marxists(I identify with neither) are much better than he is at explaining.
