Hey, I am a long time /lit/izen, and I have a question for you fellows. I recently started college and I don't know anyone at all, I have never been in a situation like this. What is a good way to just start talking to someone, preferably a pretty girl.

>> No.1070950

you need guy friends first so the girl won't be terrified of this creeper all by himself who never has any plans and always wants to hang out with her.

that having been said, there are plenty of clubs and activities on even the smallest of campuses to offer socializing opportunities.

Stag you ask personal questions that dont concern anyone but you all the time, at first I thought this was one of you'r threads.

>> No.1070957

Don't be too creepy or over enthusiastic. That generally turns people off to you. Try to find people that you actually have something to talk about with, so the conversations aren't awkward. Like the other person said, maybe join a literature club or something, if you have one. Also, if you are going for a pretty girl who is also a bit smart and is in one of your classes, ask her for help on your classwork. But not constantly.

>> No.1070959

You just walk up to a girl and say very loudly (so she can hear you): "HEY, WHAT NAME!? LET MAKE FUCK!?" And then you back away a few meters to let the words sink in. If she tries to run it's a signal that she's into you and she wants you to grab her and take her to your basement. Good luckf!

Try joining some sort of club or whatever. If you like computers, check if there is a computer club.
In Sweden we have lots of student related clubs that try and improve the students social life. Try anything. You aren't there to spend all your time doing exactly what the club is about, but meeting new people through the club activity.

Get drunk and talk to people. It's fucking college, dude.

>> No.1070964

if you're religious join a church group and get involved w/ community service, otherwise join agnostic service orgs -- either way, those are usually either evenly gender balanced or predominantly women.

work out regularly, shower & floss daily, don't get too drunk at parties, succeed in your courses, put yourself in potentially stressful situations where you stand to meet people, etc.

What is your point? My board should talk about my daily life everyday and it's a shame I don't make topics more often.

Sit next to the quiet pretty girl who is by herself. She probably wants someone to talk to, too.
Try not to be creepy about it. If the class has plenty of empty seats everywhere else and you sit directly next to her, that's creepy. If you talk to her during the first few weeks you'll have a good chance of talking to her all semester.

I laugh so hard at you socially retarded fellows. Just sitting next to a girl is not creepy. The trick is to engage her. Sit next to her, smile, maybe make a joke about how all the other seats are taken, introduce yourself. Don't spend the whole time hitting on her or anything -- just like you, she's there to learn. But generally speaking, unless you're already creepy (unattractive), a girl is not going to find anything offensive about the fact that you sat next to her in class.

Actually, if they enjoy personal space and like to sit in the back away from people, they might find it a little bothersome.
